The Superintendence of Casinos (SCJ) is a self-governing agency with legal personality and own patrimony that represents the State in official duties related to supervision and control of the installation, administration and operation of 18 new casinos in the country.
The mission is to regulate the Casino industry, assuring an efficient, responsible and transparent development with quality controls that enhance full compliance and public confidence, with excellence in procedures and its employees .
Constituted in Act N°19.995 of 2005, the Superintendence of Casinos has to abide by the High Public Service System and its top-ranked authority is the Superintendent, named by the President of the Republic.
